Xian Yang is placed on Mount Qianlai, at the beginning of the Huashan range in the Xishan Jing. The source says that its fat could relieve la, an old term associated with chapped or cracked skin. This is an ancient mythic and medical claim, not modern health guidance or a reason to use any animal product.

Appearance

The Shan Hai Jing describes Xian Yang simply as shaped like a sheep with a horse's tail. This coloring design interprets that image as a powerful, curled-horn ram with a long, flowing tail, a small beard, and a mountain-and-cloud landscape.
